bold font Lato appearing larger

  • Hello,
    Throughout our site we use Lato at default size 14 as the body font.
    When viewing the text (in Chrome), bold text appears unpleasantly larger than regular text. I understand bold text needs to be slightly larger, but this looks like a significant point difference. I’ve not found an answer by Googling, so I wonder if you can help, please?
