Body text poorly formatted

Just installed WPBB 1.1.4. The text in postings has insufficient line spacing (the lines actually touch and it looks very unprofessional) although I like its largish size & clarity, so I hope the solution will be to add line spacing, not reduce the font size; and you need two newlines between paragraphs for any space to appear between them.
