for the past several days, all of my BNFW pages (e.g., https://betternotificationsforwp.com/) result in a 502 bad gateway message. Separately from that, I’ve suddenly started having the problem of post publishing not sending notifications. (Only tried front-end so far.) I’m worried this valuable plug-in has ended its life!

Note: the webpage I cited above has no notifications. All of them are on internal “members-only” pages, e.g., https://sharedlearning.us/members/

FYI: The 502 Bad Gateway error shows up on Macintosh Firefox, but the pages load fine on Mac Safari. However, I’m still wondering about whether notifications from front-end posts are working.

    Hi @machank,
    Thanks for your messages.

You can install an Email Log plugin to see if messages are being sent. It might be worth using Postman SMTP too to improve email delivery by sending email with SMTP.

If there’s only an issue with Firefox then that would suggest that there’s an issue with that browser. It might be worth making sure it’s up-to-date just to check to see any bugs relating to this have been fixed.

502 errors might also be a sign that your hosting is either having issues, isn’t powerful enough, or that you’re sending notifications to too many people. It might be worth investigating each of these to see if any of them help.

    Thanks,
    Jack
