Blurry Thumbnails and Images

  • Hey guys,

    I have read many of posts regarding this, but I still haven’t been able to resolve my issue.

    The thumbnails and product images are all really blurry. It’s only when you click on the image when in the product and it comes up in a another window when its fine.

    I have tried changing the settings in Woocommerce and also the restore plugin, but nothing changes.

    3 of the images are fine, but any news ones are really bad.

  • The steps are:

    – In Admin page > WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Product Image size > Catalog images size needs to be set at, or slightly larger than the size at which your theme displays the image. Say 160px square in your theme. The css will stretch or squash the size slightly to fit the theme.

    – the uploaded images need to be as big or bigger than the biggest size you are using. WP/WC will create several thumbnails in a range of sizes to suit the sizes in the settings. If the uploaded images are too small they will be stretched but they will lose quality.

    – if you have already uploaded good quality images that are large enough, and subsequently change the size settings, then you need to regenerate the thumbnails. This plugin can do that.

    Hi,

    That was the same information that I was referring to. I have tried all this so many times.

    However…

    I just figured out my problem. It was down to the regeneration plugin. The bulk action doesn’t work. I had to regenerate each image individually and it worked.
