Hello, this is Fran, from Spain.

I have created a test page to see my problem.

I want to speed up my site, so I realized that if I upload a photo for example with size 1280×500 pixeles.. in a laptop with two column this will be displayed at 600×250 (seeing in google devtool inspector).. So I exported this photo again at 600×250 from my image editor, I uploaded again to wordpress..but surprisingly, it is a little blurry, so not as crispy as the bigger on, altought it is loading 600×250. Also when for example a 4 column row, one image will display at 250×250.. If I upload a bigger one 350×350..It will still be little blurry… the only way is to upload a for example 1080×1080. Examples here–> [ redundant link removed ]

I am wedding photographer and image quality is very very important for me. Also I dont want to upload very big images to solve, this..as this will slow down my site. Hope you can help me.

Ideally, upload image with the exact size you want to display on the website.

Are you using any image plugin on your website that might compress your images?

Hello Liew , sorry for the late reply. If I upload the exact size it looks worse than if I upload it much bigger, which does not make sense..

I am not using any plugin.. And I suppose that my theme is not doing anything with my images..

This is a bit frustrating. Hope I can find a solution..

    Thanks for your time.

    Fran
