    Hello,

I noticed some display issues on the pictures displayed in my posts. Compared to the original image, the end result in the post is blurry and the colors are less vibrant.
I tried different settings but couldn’t find a solution.
I usually use the WPBakery editor. I tried creating posts with and without this tool, I always get the same result.
I tried using pictures with a lower resolution. I tried with 2000 pixels and 1000 pixels wide, which is closer to the actual display size in the post. The result with the smaller resolution is worst.
I noticed that when I use the ??display image function?? in the web browser, there is some resize argument in the address. The end result is less blurry without this argument. Here is an example.
While in the WordPress media library the images’ colors have the same shade than the originals, I noticed that the images are less vibrant once included in the post. Here is an example.
I put a lot of effort on the images and their editing. I’m very sad to see how dull and blurry they look on my website. Please help me overcome this situation.
    Lise

  • Hi,

It seems your images are being served from Jetpack’s CDN. There’s a possibility the CDN is optimizing the images to reduce load time and that may likely affect the quality of the images.

Could you go to Jetpack – settings – Performance (tab) and turn off Speed up image load times, if that doesn’t change a thing, try turning of Enable site accelerator.

If you have other image optimization plugins enabled, you may want to take a look at their settings or disable them.

    I hope this helps. Cheers!

Remember to clear your site cache, browser cache and server cache (if your host supports this) so you’ll see the recent changes/update. You can also view in a private window (incognito window).
