Blurred images when thumbnails are resized

    Hi there,

    I am really looking for some help. I am building a community website and everything is going well but I have a small problem and I just can not find a word-a-round.

    The featured Images on different screen sizes show up very blurred and not pleasant to look at.

    The original image uploaded is approximately 600px x 450px but when you look at the images on smaller screens, the images go blurred. Looking at Firefox “view image info” at the page info, the dimensions are 205px X 100px (scale to 400px X 195px)

    My question is – is there a way to stop images upscaling and to scale from the original featured image, originally uploaded?

    Your help with this question would be much appreciated.

    WordPress does a really great job of adjusting image sizes for smaller screens. However, taking a smaller image and scaling it up doesn’t produce the same great results. If this is the case, then I would recommend using a larger/higher resolution image as the source and let WordPress size it down.
