Blurred images when not used as featured images
-
I’m developing my new website on localhost, so no way to show you the problem live.
It looks like images are perfectly sharp when used as featured images for posts, but they are somewhat blurred if used into the body content of the page/post.
I’ve made some tests, using the very same image (so no changes, same image directly selected from the media gallery): perfectly crisp when used as a featured image into a post, otherwise blurred.
First I thought this was because I used some images at full page width in my posts, but the same problem occurs when I use the same image at a smaller size, no larger then the text column. I’m talking about images that are 1200×800 px, so no small images. No way to have them properly crisp, if not when they are used as featured images for a post.
The type of image doesn’t matter: same problem with detailed pictures (products etc) and with flat designs (logos etc).
Is there something in theme’s code (or in WordPress code) that changes the image crispness before using it on page, since I know for sure that this images are perfect in the media gallery?
Thanks in advance!
