  • Oh dear. ?? Any chance that you could contact the freelancer and ask him for proof?

Just to confirm that it is the theme that’s the problem, try reactivating your plugins one-by-one whilst still running the 2013 theme and check that the drag’n’drop still works after re-activation.

Well, I might be wrong but if drag and drop doesnt work with all plugins off on my theme but works with all plugins off on 2013, by method of elimination that would mean it’s in the theme and not the plugins?

Or can plugins affect the site even if they are not activated?

that would mean it’s in the theme and not the plugins?

Yes – it could. I just lost track of what had been tried and what hadn’t ??

Or can plugins affect the site even if they are not activated?

Actually, they can in some severe cases. The only way to absolutely and utterly cut a plugin off is to reset the plugins folder using PhpMyAdmin (not FTP). That might be worth trying if you’re comfortable with using a database management tool. Just remember to back up your database before making any changes.

I don’t think that’s it though… this site is so buggy it’s crazy, that freelancer did a lousy job and I’ve tried to fix all the errors but I’m only just learning to code..

    Did you try it?

I don’t know how to reset the plugins folder using PhpMyAdmin (not FTP).

Never done anything like that before..
