Everythink seems to work except every time I click on one of my property listings, a 404 page pops out ….

Is that front end of the site working OK?

    Thread Starter IamNickV

    (@iamnickv)

Yes, everything seems like it was… I think.

Only the proeperties turn the 404 page instead of property page.

But they are not deleted, they are still visible on the backend…

Go to Settings -> Permalinks and re-save the current permalinks.

    That seemed to work!

I guess I learned a lot with your help, esmi….

Well, after this, you’ll have earned “WP Pro” status. ??

How’s the original drag and drop problem now?

    Thread Starter IamNickV

    (@iamnickv)

Uhf, I was loosing the color from my hair there for a while…

Drag-and-drop’s great, this also fixed another Issue I had, the one with the sidebars, there were no checkboxes displayed in some menus….

There’s only 1 small issue in the footer but i’ll fix that in the css.

Uh oh.. no… the drag and drop is not great….

now it’s not a blue rectangle problem but it’s pretty much the same only dashed lines and grey…

Excellent. My guess is that you had a corrupted WordPress core file somewhere previously.

Given your host’s rather poor backup record, I suggest you look at setting up a regular database backup yourself asap. Also make sure that you make regular copies of your wp-content folder and keep copies of your wp-config.php file and .htaccess file. That way, even if the worst happens, you should be able to re-construct your site with the minimum of hassle.

I will, this excursion taught me about importance of backups!

But now, I’m sorry but that was false alarm, dunno if you saw my last message but unfortunately the drag-and-drop problem is still not resolved… it’s just slightly different.

OK – switch to the 2013 theme and see if that helps. What plugins do you have installed? Another possibility is that something is messing up WordPress’s core jQuery.

    Thread Starter IamNickV

    (@iamnickv)

I have all plugins disabled. I’ll try switching the theme now.

    Thread Starter IamNickV

    (@iamnickv)

Yes, switching to 2013 helped fix it. Now it works.

Aha! Where did you download this theme from?

    Thread Starter IamNickV

    (@iamnickv)

    that’s the problem!

I had a freelancer design my site and he installed this theme. I think it’s themefuse.

However, when I tried contacting their support, they didn’t want to help me because I don’t have proof that this theme is purchased…
