Blown Away

  • I had actually never heard of Hummingbird until this morning when someone posted about it on Facebook in the Flatsome Theme users group.

    Thinking to myself, hmmm I’ve heard such claims before I decided to try it and see for myself.

    I have done nothing else (so far) except for enable auto asset optimization and went from:

    Performance Score 65% > 85%
    Total Blocking Time 485ms > 83 ms

    Absolutely insane and here I thought WP Rocket was enough to get me by.
    Most importantly it hasn’t broken anything in the theme or site.

    A big shout out and Kudos to WMPU Dev this is truly an amazing piece of work and this is only the free version. I am now running Smush to see how things will jump more in my favor.

    Thanks for the amazing review and words, I’m really happy to hear you were able to improve your performance score and TBT with the Automatic Asset Optimization and pretty much the default settings.

    I’m confident you’ll like Smush as much as you liked Hummingbird, please let us know how that goes.
