    I’ve added a few things to my sidebar recently: graphics for Blogstreet, Blogorama, a Sitemeter graphic, etc. But today, something myteriously showed up at the bottom of my sidebar that I cannot find in my sidebar template: a line of HTML that says “Blogs that link here,” followed by a Technorati graphic. I did register my blog with Technorati, but why is this stuff showing up here? And how do I remove it?

    Thanks!

    My blog is here.

  • Did Technorati have you add some code to verify that the blog belongs to you? That is what it looks like…

    Couldn’t find the theme “Anthurium”, but if it isn’t something you added then it must have been part of the theme and is in the sidebar as:

    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”https://technorati.com/embed/5jxhuvtf7w.js”&gt; </script>

    Aha! Yup, that’s it, Beel — thanks. I commented it out. I guess I’ll have to check at the Technorati site and find out if there’s any reason why I should keep it in. I’m still a newbie…

    Thanks again.

    Sorry about the duplicate post, folks. Hopefully no one will comment on the other one and it will disappear into the ether.

    Well, you can choose what you want to display.

    Login to Technorati and goto Account and then Edit the blog settings.

    Right at the bottom you can deselect what you don’t want.

    Thanks, Ajay…I eventually figured it out. The sidebar element seemed to appear suddenly because I only submitted my blog to Technorati a couple of days ago, and they didn’t register my account until today.

    Helping out Technorati is a good thing, though google hasn’t indexed my blog yet, Technorati is already sending me some traffic. I don’t work for them, just my 2 cents.

    Yup, I know. Got all my blogs listed with Technorati, though I don’t have problem with search engines
