You probably need to optimize your server.

If you’re running Apache2 and you’re comfortable with configuring the server configuration then this is a fairly good guide.

Could you stick to easier questions*, like how many angels can sit on the head of a pin…?

Short answer: You should stick with Apache2. It’s easier to get support for it at the moment and making those changes is easy. It performs well.

Much longer answer: Probably NGINX is a better performer. Almost certainly in fact.

Apache2 is more prevalent and WordPress out of the box works better with it for things like permalinks. So do many popular WordPress plugins such as W3TC and WP Super Cache.

But NGINX is lean, mean, and when configured properly it’s fast. WordPress can work with it with only a little effort. I’ve been playing with NGINX on my test installation and once (someday) I document the settings I’ll probably use it on my main web site.

It’s very cool and I’m pretty sure www.remarpro.com (at least) uses NGINX.

But until you really get a good comfortable hand on the configuration, just stick with Apache2 and focus on getting WordPress running with good content.

*(You divide the width of the pin by the average width of an angel’s posterior and that tells you how many can sit there.)

    thanks!
i do optimize Apache and its good!

    Another question:
can i send en visitors to that adress : domain.com/en
and all of that adress be english and visitors can signup, creat blog,… ?

    well,

    blogs now load good.

is there any way to make it faster?

    lets take a look:
in all sites wiche you get in, the site will load and you will see the site loading! for example first words shown-after that imgs shown low and then site load complete.

but in my blogs: the time to complate is the same time, but the loading procces is difrent! as i said the blogs first get title and some of theme get page back ground and after a few seconds(as much as all sites) all of site shown complatly!

    now how to fix it?
    i hop you get what i said:d

theboy1 – Let’s keep this topic to optimization ?? If you need to sort out registration stuff, make a new one (different post titles attract different brains – you get the server brains here).

If you’ve gotten Apache tuned, now start looking to caching. There’re addons like eaccelerate or APC, which can make your server handle PHP faster, and they can hook into plugins like W3 Total Cache.

    (@theboy1)

No i dont like cach! this is realy bad! every post, page or… = delete all cach!

Cache isn’t bad if you use it correctly. You can set it up so it only deletes pages and posts it HAS to delete when you update them.

    Thread Starter theboy1

    (@theboy1)

i haven’t any problem with that! but some users can’t and perhaps hate to delete cache after any post!

is there any way to delete cache when a new post sended automaticly?

can i use w3 total cache?(and set some setting for all blogs)

You’re confusing browser cache and server cache.

Try WP Super Cache first, it’s ‘easier’ if you’re new to all this.

    Thread Starter theboy1

    (@theboy1)

i have tried wp super cache. but after blogs send post the posts will no be shown until delete the cache! isn’t there any way to don’t cache posts, pages, links and any updateable thing? but theme pics cashe!

    Moderator Ipstenu (Mika Epstein)

That’s not caching, that’s called using a CDN, which is also an option.

    Thread Starter theboy1

    (@theboy1)

ok, but my problem will not be ok with cach!

the cache will make blog reloading good but my problem is about opening the blog for first time! of course with configuring apache and us wp-dboptimize i made it ok! but perhaps its come to truble again!(since i have this problem i have tried very things which works but for 1 day or 5-6 hours! i hop the new changes work for all time(configuring apache and optimizing database))
