blogging on multiple pages

Howdy folks.

I’ve looked like heck for an answer to this but haven’t found a solution yet. Here’s what I have…

Blog hosted on 3rd party server, WP 2.7 installed and running.

Here’s what I’m trying to set up. I have the “main page” where blog entries go. I also have several pages covering various topics. What I want is to make the light and fluffy entries on the main page and the deeper, more important essays on the “deep, important essay” page. I don’t want to have all the entries showing up in the same place, but rather on their correct page, just like normal blog entries.

PLEASE tell me that there’s an easy way to do this?! I’m going nuts.
