Blogger Import Problems

  • I searched all the available entries regarding problems with the blogger import. I followed every last instruction for the import, my files are as they should be according to the import instructions, yet when I go to view/edit them, they are not available. I started using WP in April and that’s as far back as the archives in “Edit” go. What am I missing?

  • Can you see files named like ‘2003_12_01_wordpress.php’ in your wordpress directory?
    In case you can’t see any such files in your wordpress directory, Blogger has not published the archives to the right place.
    In case you see those files, Blogger has correctly published, but WP has not imported them correctly.
    During the Blogger-to-WP import, did you click on ‘OK’ at the end of everything?

    1) Yes, they are there.
    2), Yes, I did. The import-blogger.php (or whatever it’s called) said something like, “Now login and have fun”. It’s baffling.

    I’m having the same problem. Quite frustrating indeed.
