Blog.dir > This is probably an easy question.

  • Ok, So I just installed 3.0 and everything seemed to go fine. It’s a fresh install and I’m trying to set up multisite.

    I’m assuming creating a blogs.dir is just creating a folder called blogs.dir. Am I missing something because I’m creating new sites and they aren’t showing up in the blogs.dir and I can’t view them online.

    Where am I messing up?

    The blogs.dir is where your uploaded files will go. When you make a new site, IIRC, this creates a number folder in that folder.

    Like this: wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files

    Is that how you set it up? In wp-content?

    Yea, I’ve got a blogs.dir folder in there, and I created a new site. It just started working all of a sudden, but when I upload files, there are no new folders created in blogs.dir.
