Blog with a different side column

I need to develop a full website with some static pages. The main requirement is that based on selection of the top link (home, products etc) the links in the sidebar needs to change. I am looking for a two column layout.

Is there any way to get different sidebars for different selections at the top. If wordpress doesn’t offer that then could someone point me in the right direction.
