Blog /w own “hacks”

one splash page is usually too much these days ….. but TWO? i had no desire to read the blog after clicking so many times.
[layout is nice though ;)]

I’m not a fan of splash screens either, but I was more affected by the small type. Little hard on these old eyes. The layout is nice as is the header image.

I think it’s cool. And I’m also a Christian, so it’s good to see a Christian blog all the way from Singapore.

I’m not a big fan of white on black, I think it’s hard on the eyes. No, I’m not going to sit here and say you’re wrong, and post a bunch of bogus stats on “readability”, etc… I’m just personally not a fan. Other than that (and the aforementioned splash screen overdose), I think it’s a good clean layout.
Though there are no comments posted to any of your entries, you should take care to note that the CSS on the comment pop-up is still generic… it should probably be tweaked to match the rest of your site.

Nice site. I would agree with pretty much what’s been said here.. two splash screens is quite a bit of work to get through and the white text on black is a bit harsh on the eyes. Why not incorporate your content on splash #2 somewhere on your blog? And as for the text, try a shade of light grey instead. Your readers will thank you ??

I’ll be doing something to the splash page.. and with regards to the fonts..
i suppose it’s due to a fact that i’m on a erm.. larger screen size and larger moniter(?)
i aint sure if it affects it thou.. i will try and increase the font size but might not be much as it affects the layout..

I had to force myself to actually click through the “splashes”. Nether one is nessesary and carry zero information (the tiny blah piece on the second splash can be happily tucked away on some about page, since nobody cares anyways).
I have 20/20 vision and I am sitting in front of a sweet 1280×1024 LCD … your font is way to small and white/grey on black just makes things worse. Makes it a pain in the arse to read … so I still don’t know what your blog is about.
