Blog Visibility

Hello,

I use software to post links to my blog on my social media channels. The social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn) oftentimes pull over the featured image of the blog. While this is great, I also want to have more variety by having some posts without images.

Question: What is the best way of accomplishing this? If the only option is to have two separate blog posts (one with and one without the featured image), is there a way to hide one of the two posts from the blog (but while keeping the URL active for public use)?
