Blog to Look Like Webpage – How to?

  • Hi:

    I hope someone can help me. I know this is easy for most of you, but…

    I would like the Blog at:
    https://www.TheGreetingCardMaven.com

    To have the look and feel of
    https://www.SayItWithEcards.com

    Here is what I want to do:

    1) 3 column blog

    2) left column – SAME Card Category Listing as
    https://www.SayItWithEcards.com (left column)

    3) middle column – entries go here

    4) right column – blog archives, entry categories,
    regular blog stuff.

    Any idea what the best way to achieve this is?

    I have not chose a theme yet.

    While I can take care of my Blog and all, I am not a PHP coder and/or back end programmer.

    I am fluent in writing raw HTML code as I started with that before going to Dreamweaver years ago.

    I want to use this Blog for the What’s New stuff on the card site and other card site related stuff.

    EVEN IF I started an entirely NEW Blog, I would like it to be like what I described above. (Maybe it would be better to start from scratch. I would have the Blog on the SayItWithEcards.com website.

  • Have you had a good look at WP Themes yet? There’s hundreds there and probably something which ought to suit you. If not, take something similar and change it. If you have HTML skills, it should be pretty straight-forward.

    Thanks for your response.

    Everything on the WP Themes page you list above show up at BLACK. All the themes thumbnails show up as *jet black* boxes.

    Any idea why?

    It says that my security setting are blocking the cookies. I can see all other sites, I can’t even begin to imagine what to do here to see them.

    Any ideas?

    if you click on test run you can still see the theme.

    Most show as black box thumbnails for me also.

    Also, I noticed that when I chose 3 column *some* of the thumbs do show up. There are still a group that are black.

    But are there any hints on how to change the code to make the first column *the category section from my webpage!?
