Please try using image dimension 600*600 to this image also.Your image is not been resized,it’s natural size is 480*360.You can have a screen shot below:

I understand, and therein lies the issue. The actual image selected as featured IS infact 600×600: https://djnelz.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/LSL.jpg

Not sure why it’s using a resized version of the image. Have tried reposting with the same result.

I have the same issue and after regenerating thumbnails with suggested plugin, none of my portfolio thumbnails are square anymore, exactly the opposite of what I was aiming for. Can you tell me how to make sure the portfolio thumbnail images are square?
