    Hi @ravenhawkrfss

    Can you send some screenshots?
I can’t seem to access your site.

    Hi Yoga(@yogajegstudio),

I have screen captures that I can send (how do I send those to you?) or if you let me know the country you are in I can take the country blocking off for you while we work on this.

    Hi @ravenhawkrfss

You can upload it to a public sharing image sites and share the link here, or if you prefer more privacy, use sites that allow you to make account so you can delete the screenshots later.

The country is Indonesia, it would be great if I could check the site frontend directly.
But also, screenshot is still needed for changes you’ve made in the editor, as accessing user site through login is prohibited in this forum.

    Thank you.

    Hi Yoga,

I have removed the country blocking for Indonesia and have uploaded a screenshot of the entire blog template with customizations here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/wgc77h47sgbhpviyqsvxg/Customized-Blog-template.png?rlkey=tfpre4lkvjisqqzxac0zcviho&dl=0

and also a video capture of the customized blog template with as many components visible as possible here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/df3qnqyd8myu6cudxob94/Customized-Blog-template.mp4?rlkey=295eyda79jo6q0pxryz3aomn3&dl=0

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Hi! @ravenhawkrfss
have you try changing the template on the page?
    Here How :
    1. In Pages find your page.
    2. Then find Quick Edit.
    3. In Quick Edit you need to find Template.
    4. Then change Template to the template that you want to use
    5. Then click Update to save the setting

    Hi Yoga,

I replied to this through email, but I don’t know if you received it, so I will reply again.

I attempted to create a new blog page using the “page” template, but when I set the new blog page to the post page in the reading settings, the template on the new blog page reverted to the “blog” template.

After looking at the template files on my server, I find:

    • themes/accountra/templates/404.html, archive.html, blank-canvas.html, front-page.html, index.html, page.html, search.html, single.html, template-basic.html
    • themes/accountra/gutenverse-templates/templates/404.html, about.html, archive.html, blog.html, cases.html, contact.html, faq.html, front-page.html, index.html, page.html, pricing.html, search.html, service.html, single.html

Would that keep the customization of the theme template from overriding the Gutenverse template?

    Hi @ravenhawkrfss ,
If want to change the blog template, you need to customize the blog template instead of make a new blog template. Because if you assign page in reading setting it will load the template from default blog template even though you asign another template to the page.

    Hi putra1arya,

Please read my reply above and look at the screen images that I have uploaded to Dropbox.

I have customized the blog template but the page is defaulting to the Gutenverse blog template rather than the customized Accountra blog template.

    Thank you.

    Hello Yoga(@yogajegstudio) & putra1arya(@putra1arya),

Have you had an opportunity to look into this issue any further? I would really like to get my blog posting page styling to match the rest of my website without having to change the theme. I have many hours of work into this website and would like to be able to finish it with the Accountra theme since other than the blog page template customization not carrying through to the frontend the theme is really good.

    Thank you!

    Hi @ravenhawkrfss

Sure, sorry this week has been busy for us.
After I investigate your issue, I will try to explain in as much detail as possible what might happened to your blog:

You have edited and made changes to the Blog template in Dashboard->Appearance->Editor.
Then you created a page for your blog and assigned the Blog template to it.
Under Dashboard->Settings->Reading->Your homepage displays you choose A static page, and for your Posts page you choose the blog page you created.
Correct me if I’m wrong about any detail above.

What happened is that when you assigned your blog page in the reading setting, it didn’t use the Blog template but instead, it used the Index template.
So there are two solutions you can choose:
    1. Don’t assign your blog page in the reading setting, so your blog page will use the Blog template. When you access yoursite.com/blog it should load the Blog template normally.
    2. If you still want to use the reading setting, then you might need to edit and change the Index template content since it loads that template, not the Blog template.

I hope this explains what happened.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Thank you.

    Hi Yoga (@yogajegstudio),

Thank you for the explanation. Leaving the reading setting for the blog page as “select” worked perfectly.

    I appreciate your assistance!
