Blog Subscriber Emails

  • This question relates to email notifications that blog subscribers receive from WordPress.

    After the latest WordPress 5.4 update, every email has two read more links underneath the excerpt:

    1. Read more
    2. Read more of this post

    The same bug is happening with two different websites. Both websites use the Jetpack widget for people to subscribe to their blog. However this particular issue didn’t occur before the 5.4 update.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Since this relates to email notifications sent by the JetPack plugin ain’t not WordPress itself, this is something that you’d have to pick up with JetPack support.

    Yes, the WordPress update may have triggered this… but it’s the responsibility of plugin developers to update their plugins to accommodate the latest changes in the WordPress software, not the other way round.
