• I’m climbing the walls – again! Please help! I can’t set up the blog page the way I want it. The theme has it showing the first blog I posted with the second in the archives already. I can’t figure this out. What I want is the posts for the current month to show up on the screen (it’s ok if it shows the summary and links to the post) with previous months going to the archive. Obviously, or maybe not, each month would become a new archive (see the old www.remarpro.com blogs).

Also, whenever I set up a featured image, it shows up as a new column pushing the entire post into a column to the right. So not what I want. If the featured image shows at the top of the post, ok; but I certainly don’t want it taking over the display of the post. My preference would be the featured image just under the title (or over it is ok, too.) and the post full width below it.

I’ve searched for the answers to these, but I’m coming up blank. Could someone please explain how to set up my blog the way I’d like it? I’m using the Crio theme. I have Elementor on there, but it’s worthless in setting up the posts. Please and thank you.

  • Hello Jan-

From what I can tell right now, you’re using the Single Post widget provided by the BoldGrid Post and Page Builder plugin, but what you need to look for is the Post List widget.

If you’re editing the page with Elementor, scroll all the way down to the very bottom of the widget list and expand the WordPress category, where you’ll find the Post List widget.

The post list widget will then give you controls for the number of posts to show, what info to show about the post (i.e. Date, Author), and the number of columns (it sounds like you want that at just 1 column).

I hope that helps! Please let us know if you’re still having trouble, we’re happy to help.
