blog seems slow

  • Hi folks. My blog pages seem really slow to open. The Youtube videos I have embedded in the posts take especially long. Not sure if its my computer or what, and just hoping someone can take a look, and if it seems slow to them as well hopefully offer some advice. Im a WP beginner, so if youre going to suggest solutions like adding code please make it as simple to understand as possible.   • Appears to be fine here. A nice tool to see how things are loading is https://tools.pingdom.com/ You can see a chart of what is loading and how quickly.

    There are many scenarios that could cause your site to load slow and not all have to do with the actual site. You are right to keep an eye on it and use tools like the above to rule out some load time issues.

    IF I disable my adblockers, then your site is a bit slower, but it’s not terribly bad for me.

    Same here as others reported, not that slow. I would probably try other ways to embed youtube and soundcloud links. Probably iframe will work wonders if you don’t really need embedly.
