Blog Running but cannot log in?!?!

    I have installed a fresh copy of 2.5.1 and a fresh database.

    All went through fine and I can see the blog.

    The problem is that I cannot log into the admin section Keeps coming up with redirect problems yet there is no redirect.

    Can anyone help?

    Yes, I realised that I was using the wrong version of config.php which had the SECRET CODE stuff on it.

    I believe in the 2.5.1 there was none of the SECRET CODE in config.php

    Since that time I have deleted the original database, created a new database and reinstalled WP.

    Now it simply comes up with db error yet it is all in place, the db is active and running but I cannot use wp-admin/install.php to get the damn thing up and running again because of this db problem.

    Just completely stuck now!!

    Sorry, rephrase that…

    There is the SECRET KEY but in the later versions of config.php there are 3 different KEYS.

    So, I have the 2.5.1 config.php file with SECRET KEY set up

    valedogomes, something in the wp-config.php is not right, or the MySql server isn’t running. I’m not sure which. Check all of your DB_* values. One of them has to be wrong. If you don’t know what values you need, maybe contact your host and ask.
