I originally had my blog running on a no-ip.org dns (sub.no-ip.org/blog) and now i added a domain name and deactivated the no-ip.org dns.

I have my photo gallery on a subdomain and that goes to the gallery just fine; however, when i go to my blog (blog.domain.com), it redirects back to my no-ip.org DNS. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

    Thanks!

  • You should check the application database and make sure that all the links are set with the new IP instead of the no-ip.org one. This can be easier if you have the non sub.no-ip.org/blog working. This way you can access it and set the domain changes via the application admin panel.

    See this:

    https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

    You’ll need phpMyAdmin

There’s also a quick method devised by whooami, but I can’t find the link right now.

i made those changes but i do not have a /wp-content/cache folder. can i clear out the wp cache another way? or do i wait?

    Thanks for your help

That is correct the changes can be set via manually as well but if you miss one table it may cause issues. If you make the changes from the WP admin panel all the tables will be updated as they should.

    everything works great. thank you!

    Good luck with the website.

I have a similar problem. And maybe not! I use the same domain blog.exilezone.net
I have changed the nameservers and when I visit the site with one ISP(A) I see the correct posts. If I visit with another ISP(B) I don’t see the new posts and all the things I do on the site are not showing on the ISP(A)??
The same happens via FTP. But if I tracert the domain with ISP(B) it show me the new nameservers but the older site?

    Can someone help me please!?
