Blog posts on Static Front Page lose formatting

I use one of the “Front Page Sections” to display my blog/posts page. When I write a single blog post, just a page of text, I format it with line breaks and such. But when it gets pulled to the front page, the breaks are gone, and all that shows is a wall of text. Looks bad on the front page.

Everywhere else they keep their formatting (individual pages, the blog page located in the menu, etc.)

Spent a few hours searching to no avail. Any help appreciated
