• I just started using customizr theme and I love it. I chose it because I wanted a clean landing page for my site with minimal distractions. My question is how can I get my blog posts to show up on a different page and have a menu option for people to see the posts?
    Thanks for any help.

  • What I did to achieve this was to create an empty page with name “blog”. Then select in options (yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php or yoursite.com/wp-admin/customize.php look at Front Page tab) that static content is shown on the front page and your new blog page to act as post page.
Only thing you have to do after that is to add link to the same page in your main menu.

    Tamaja,
Thanks for the feedback. When I select the Front page to Static it shows only the blog post and my landing page is gone. Any advice?

That means you need to create another page (to be set as static page) with the content you wish to show on the front page. If you dont want to show anything more on the front page except maybe featured box and slider choose “dont show any posts or page” in front page display option. Your new blog page should be showing posts, but now separated from the front page. See this front page documentation too

    GracieOhio,

I just figured out how to get this to work. Here’s what you need to do.

Create a new page titled “Home” or whatever you want it to be called. Edit the new Home page, and select Custom Page Example from the Page Attributes -> Template section on the right. Leave the rest of the page blank. Save it and publish it.

Go to Customiz’it! and select the Front Page section. Select Front Page Displays – Static Page. You will get some new options. Set the Posts Page to your blog page, and set the Front Page to the new Home page you created. Save & Publish.

You’ll then need to go into Navigation and Manage Menus to fix your nav menu. Add your new Home page to the menu and remove the old home page from it.

That should be the result you’re looking for.

    zerohere,

Thank you so much. I spent hours trying to figure out how to get it to work, but I followed your advice and it worked a treat.
