• Hello Word Press Friends……..

I need some help/advice please?? I want to get my Blog posts to show up on my homepage & have an image & just a teaser as to what each topic/post is about.

Here is an example of what I`m talking about on the homepage of the website of the company that I work for; Please take a look towards the bottom of the page. https://www.DouglasInfiniti.com —- See the Blog posts & how a small image appears & just a bit of the title that runs into a “Read more” link??

Basically you just create a post & it automatically creates the little blurb with a smaller image on the homepage

Can anyone out there kindly explain to me how I can accomplish this on my own personal site; https://www.AdventuresWithKen.com ??????

I don`t know which or if any plug-ins to use to accomplish this.

Please email me at [ redacted, support is not offered via email, IM or Skype ]

Thank you all very very much!

    Ken-

  • The easy way is to pick a theme that offers that as an option. Many do. If you want to customize a theme, you’ll have to know a bit about the way php, WP and templates work. In simple terms, in the index.php template file you’d add a conditional statement to check if it’s the home page, and then insert a query defining numbers of posts, category etc and a post loop that fetches the correct posts and formats them as desired.
The WP codex will help you out if you need it.
