I figured that out but has no clue how I can fix the problem.

It comes from the theme “Chaplin” which I used before. Here I hat the featured image as “cover”.
So now when changing to sullivan theme, this blogpost is still tagged with “cover” which leads to this kind of display: https://marcobutz.de/in-bloom-faded/

What can I do, to remove this “cover” tag in the database?

    Hi @marcobutz,

That’s a funky issue – I would assume that WordPress would check whether the page template supports the post type when you switch to a new theme, but apparently not.

The easiest solution (unless you want to modify it directly in your database) would probably be to create a new post with the same metadata and content, and then removing the old one and changing the permalink of the replacement to match the URL of the old one.

You could also quickly reactivate Chaplin, remove the page template from the post, and then switch back to Sullivan.
