blog post too much white space at top when categories are used

have you asked the developer of the theme for help?

published post on my staging site. with categories. too much white space above the blog post title. if i remove the 4 categories, the white space is cut in half at the same start point as the rest of the blog posts

also, why did this happen for some posts (based on the categories i chose) but not all of them?

No idea; you’d need to chat with the developers of your theme and whoever put in all of those Elementor blocks.
