Blog post thumbnail images not showing on homepage

  • I wanted to report a possible bug with Customizr.

    According to the developer:

    “The way it is coded is the following for post thumbnails priorities :
    1) if a featured image is defined, then it uses this one,
    2) if no featured image is defined, then it takes the first image attached to the post and use it as thumbnail”

    I have since discovered that if the first image in a post is hyperlinked from another site, the image never shows. Customizr works perfectly fine if the image is located in the media library of the current domain.

    But publish a post with no “featured image” and where the first image is referenced by a hyperlink to another domain, nothing shows on the Customizr homepage.

    Is anyone else able to replicate this? Or know of a way around it short of saving the image and uploading it to the local media library?

    I have the same problem. I use a instagram plugin to autopost the images from instagram to the customizr theme and not thumbnails show up. The image will show if I click on the thumbnail to go the the page.
