Blog Post instead of EXcerpt

Since you’ve got “full text” selected in the Reading Settings, your Posts in RSS feeds shouldn’t be cut off like that. First thing to check is your theme, as sometimes themes will mess with RSS feeds generated by WordPress. Easiest way to test is to temporarily switch to a default theme like the 2019 theme, clear any caches (if applicable), and then load the feed and see if the Posts are still cut off. If they aren’t, then you’ll know this is happening due to the theme you’re using and you should contact that theme developer for support.

Apple can have hiccups from time to time, I believe today they are having an issue for new episodes. Usually such delays are only 24-48 hours long at most.

Hello. Itunes is now showing my full text (see my other ticket regarding formatting) but on all other platforms, I am still seeing the excerpt and not the full text. I have subscribed to the different platforms to see if that makes a difference, but there is no full text. https://pandora.app.link/2q1mOI0TM3

Yes, and the latest version we released this week makes this easier to do. When editing your episode, go to the bottom of the episode box and click the more options link, which should show you more fields you can fill in. If you customize the Summary field, this populates the <itunes:summary> field, it overrides the summary we auto make from your blog post.

For some background, Apple in the iOS podcast app uses the >content:encoded> field of your feed which is your entire blog post content that is why you are getting an optimal experience with Apple.

Some platforms use the <description>, this is set by WordPress to specifically be an excerpt of your blog post. You can override this in WordPress by using the Excerpt field option. This typically has a limited amount of text by design and does not include HTML or links like the main content <content:encoded> or <itunes:summary>.

Each platform is different, but I do believe Pandora and Spotify, even if you had a lot of show notes, will cut off the description at an arbitrary length. Each podcast directory and app controls what they display and do not display.

I am having the same trouble here still. All episodes on iTunes display as excerpts and I am only using the main section in WordPress for my Descriptions and links. They all get cut off.
I have even turned on the correct setting for my series in Castos (podcast host) to make sure it’s not excerpt. Any other suggestions?

My second concern is how to make links show up correctly? Most people have their links as regular text that shows as a hyperlink without a URL but when I do that it just shows up as text. You can see that in the episode: How to properly kiss.
