Blog Post image will not post publish on Social Sites – WON'T POST IMAGE

If you post your home page link, you’ll notice it picks up featured post images, try assigning a featured image to the post in question, I notice your vid posts don’t have them.
If you want it to use the vid image you’ll have to link directly to you tube.

interesting for each post video and images there is a feature image for each of them.

Where are you seeing there isn’t?

I posted you home page and your posted link to test on my fb. the home page picks up 1 of 2 featured images from the “up and coming” entries at the bottom, but not sure if those are featured images.

The vids posts seem like thay may be pulling images from a post gallery. Maybe try uploading the images to the posts, thereby creating a gallery. then assign as featured image from there. or is that how you did it?

if so it is only using the gallery images which is the ones on the main slider.

The featured images are just in the media library where I have been assigning it to each post.

Yes, but you have to assign the featured images through the posts, uploaded directly to the posts, otherwise no gallery.

Keep in mind this does not mean you have to display the images in the posts, they only show in the archives and blog.

on the bottom right of the post it says “Featured Image” I assign it there. Is there someone where else you are talking about?

no, that’s correct, I’m saying the image cannot be grabbed from the media library, pre-uploaded. Try re-uploading the same image directlty to the post. It will make a gallery for that post. then go to the “gallery” tab in the media uploader for the post, and assign the image from there.

I’m not even certain you have to assign the featured image to the post, so long as the image exists in a gallery for that post. have to test and see.

I have just tried it

I downloaded the image to my desktop

went to the post
clicked on Featured image
then selected upload file
uploaded it and it automatically assigned it
Saved the post

Then tried to copy the post URL and put as a status

Same issue

when you selected as featured image, did the tab above say “gallery” or “Media Library”?

if you assigned it from the gallery, something not adding up, maybe an issue deeper than I know how to deal with. do you get button images in the post instesd? (I did) where are those coming from?

on my site, as long as there’s a gallery image for the post I get an image in a fb post. But I don’t have to have a featured image.

the only tab’s I see are

From Computer, From URL and Media Library

I selected from computer and then selected on from my PC.

It could be the theme, what do you think?
