Blog post asks user to be log in to comment altho discussion settings don’t

    My website (www.growchiswicki.org) uses Customizr. It has a blog with discussion enabled and a restricted section for which I use bbPress and Simple WordPress Membership plug-ins.

    I have set the discussion settings so that people have to give name and email address to post a comment on as blog post but do not have to be registered and logged in. But I noticed when looking at a blog post today, that it is requiring people to log in to comment (e,g, here https://growchiswick.org/wildlife/helping-urban-butterflies/).

    Please could someone help me understand where I am going wrong?

    first, make sure the logged in setting is not checked in Settings > Discussion.

    Also, try disabling membership plugin to see if the comment / login issue goes away. If it does, then the problem is with the membership plugin; maybe settings are wrong.
