  • To get blog pictures importing correctly, here’s what I did:

    1) Used WinHTTrack as suggested to get my entire old website, including the posts and the pictures.

    2) Tried a test import and figured out where the pictures were by looking for filenames not found by HTML Import. I could then do a find on my local copy of my old website to get the right directory of pictures to upload.

    3) Remove posts from my test run.

    4) Used FTP to upload to the directory HTML Import was looking for them in. lcd changes your local directory, cd changes the remote directory, lcd and pwd to see where you are local and remote. Had to use mput to move all the files. Had to turn on “binary” to avoid having image files corrupted.

    5) Reran HTML Import.
