Blog Path Moves. Uploaded files links no longer valid.

Searched Forums? Yes, however, didn’t see any posts like this one.

Problem
I moved my blog up one directory. After updating all my settings for the change, my uploaded images were still broken. Using the “search and replace” plug-in, I was able to update the paths that were in the posts. However, if you go to the upload management area (media library), the images are not being displayed. I looked at the mysql database and noticed they were still pointing to the old path.

Question
Is there a way for me to update and fix this within WordPress, or must I edit my database to make sure these images are linked correctly within WordPress? (Again, keep in mind that the images show up fine via the posts themselves because of the s&r I did. This is in regards to how they are stored in the database. The URL for the image location as reported by WordPress is still using the old path.)
