    I understand Yoast SEO on individual blog posts, but why does it try to evaluate the main blog page? I end up with red for both SEO and readability.

    Thank you for your question!

    Rest assured, if you are not trying to optimize that page for the search engines, then you can safely ignore the red colors. These only serve as a guideline for pages/posts that you are trying to rank for.

    Having said that, if you are trying to optimize the main blog page, then our analysis may help you do so. Our analysis tries to simulate the search engines algorithm, so if our analysis gives red bullets, then it’s likely that the search engine will also have a hard time with the page. Of course, ranking depends on a lot of different factors.
