    I created two different WordPress installations- one for my primary domain, and one for the Blog subdomain (https://blog.pixtachio.photo).

    I created a test post on blog.pixtachio.photo but when I try to access that site by clicking on pixtachio.photo/blog, it shows “Oops! That page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?”.

    I can find the post by searching, but not otherwise.

    Also, Icons on blog.pixtachio.photo don’t show correctly.

  • The two sites are not connected unless you connect them. Since you say it is two different WordPress installations, why do you think they are connected in some way?

    @joy is correct

    @pixtachio Are you looking to have “https://pixtachio.photo/blog/” redirect to “https://blog.pixtachio.photo/”?

    Go to “Settings” > Reading >

    Follow this screenshot:

    I hope, now you can access the blog page https://blog.pixtachio.photo/blog not https://pixtachio.photo/blog

    I think you don’t need extra blog site like https://blog.pixtachio.photo/ you can access the blog site from https://pixtachio.photo/blog this link after set the Blog page.

    You can manage it by WordPress Multisite feature.

    @joyously @mikabenjamin I tried redirecting them, in one direction, and then the other, actually, but removed redirection as it didn’t seem to work.
    @fahimmurshed Thank you. I’ve done that.

    I have now removed the subdomain and its wordpress installation out of frustration.lol. I would like to try again in order to have my blog on a different site. Do you all have tips that can help me make it work this time? I’m no coder, and I’m a wordpress newbie.

    Glad to hear you solved that. If your issue has been solved. Make this post as “Solved”

    You can search on Youtube. There are lots of video tutorial.

    Good luck.

    You are mistaking the word “blog” for the Posts page, when actually the entire WordPress installation is a “blog” or website. When you install WordPress twice, there are no connections between them, so you won’t find any options in the admin for anything like that.
    If you install WordPress and configure it for a network (multisite), you can choose whether to have each new site be a subdomain or a subfolder of the root site, or even each one is a different domain name as can be seen at wordpress.com.
