• I am hoping someone can help me out. My site had the blog as the starting page, the site is https://www.jeffkaplan.com. I was creating a new page for the site which I uploaded as a parent page. The new page was titled “events”. Once this was done for some reason when someone goes to https://www.jeffkaplan.com it automatically redirects to https://www.jeffkaplan.com/events. I have somehow lost the blog page all together. The posts are still all there but even when you click on the “blog” tab it still redirects to the events page. I need to know where I can tell the page to go to just the blog when jeffkaplan.com is entered.

    Thanks for any help,

    Bart

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – checking your “Front page displays” setting in Admin/Settings/Reading

I was creating a new page for the site which I uploaded as a parent page.

Uploaded? Do you really mean uploaded or do you mean you wrote and published it in admin?

I have checked in the admin/settings/reading and “your latest posts” is selected for the front page display. I won’t be able to check the plugins till later tonight but will give that a try.

    Thanks,

Alright, so I have tried the suggestion of turning off all the plugins and restarting them and these were no plugins that effected the site. Does anyone know where wordpress tells what page is loaded first when the main domain is requested.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bart

If anyone has any suggestions on how I can fix this redirection I would really appreciate it. I am completely stuck at this point.

    Thanks,
