So I have a page tiled “Blog” and it is set as the “post page”. However, the breadcrumbs are not complete: see here. I would imagin the breadcrumbs to display: Home > Blog > Church > Hello world

My ‘Permalink’ settings are: /blog/%category%/%postname%/ (if it matters).

    Hi,

We apologies for the inconvenience that you may have faced.

If we add a short code for breadcrumb on a post page then it will display the path of that post such as Home > Category > Post Name. It does not depend upon the page from where we are calling that post. So it is the default behavior of the breadcrumb.

It is specifically not a bug but the things that you’re referring to are the additional functionalities that can be extended in Breadcrumb. We have added this in our pipeline and will be adding this on our next release.

In case you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach us back.

    Regards,

Alright, thank you for the reply.

On a side note it surprises me how many “basic” features WordPress continues to lack even years after its initial release.
