I suspect this is a theme issue but my theme developer’s forum hasn’t responded yet.

    New Site
Issue: Using Static Home Page. Blog Page displays all the slider’s etc. that Home Page should and the Home page just shows text.

Blog and Home are correctly identified in the WordPress Reading page. Permalinks are off. No plugin’s active (except akismet).

I suspect that somewhere in the page structure, a php snippet is at work here but don’t know how to find it.

    Any creative thoughts: Site https://www.culpepperinc.us

I’ve run into this several times since I originally posted the question. In EVERY case the theme had a slider on the landing page that was in lieu of a Home Page. In other words, you didn’t need to create a home page. In the cases where they supported a home page, the results are the same – do not indicate a static home page in WP setup. Just leave it all as default. The php determines what to do. If you indicate a static home page, the theme gets confused and switches home and blog.
