    Hi,

I had a question about a wordpress blog. When I share an article, I want it to fall directly to my blog page, but it falls into the subcategory of my blog page. For example, as I mentioned in the picture, it fell into the unnamed category at the bottom of my blog page. Is there a way to drop directly to my blog page without subcategories?

How are you sharing an article? Sharing where? Xitter, Facebook? By “article”, do you mean a blog post? If no, then where is the article coming from?

The default category for posts is uncategorized, but this can be changed in settings. Where new posts fall on your blog page depends on what sort of ordering is specified by the query. How it appears depends upon your theme.

I am sharing my article on my wordpress site. I want my article to fall directly on my blog page (Example URL: site name/blog/my article). But wordpress makes it mandatory for me to make a blog subcategory under my blog page (Example URL: site name/blog/tech/my article). When I share an article, I want it to fall directly to my blog page, is there a way to drop directly to my blog page without subcategories?

Categories in permalinks are optional. You can remove that component in permalink settings. This will affect the URLs of all blog posts. It’s difficult to do this for only certain posts because WP will think you want an archive of category “my_article” instead of the post “my_article”. However, doing it is feasible by setting up custom rewrite rules, but things can spiral out of control if not implemented thoughtfully.
