    Hi all

For at least several weeks I have had no problems with my WP install with the plug-ins I have been using. Plug-ins in use are as follows:

    Akismet 1.8.1.
    Compact Monthly Archive 1.00
    Hello Dolly 1.5
    Randomize 0.2
    Time Capsule 1.0.2
    WordPress Database Backup 1.8
    WP-MostCommentedPosts 0.1
    WP-Polls 2.13
    and until yesterday, Zap_Recent_Commented 1.0.

For myself and all my readers, my page would load the header, and first column down to where the “recent commented” plug-in should have been showing, then would stop. Pages located outside of my blog loaded fine, so I figured the problem was in the blog, not the hosting.

I disabled the Zap plug-in and everything loads fine.

Any idea why this would be, and what would cause it to just happen out of the blue? I would like to use that plug-in again, but if it keeps causing my page to not load, it’s pretty useless.

    1) You should contact the plugin author – it’s a plugin issue, not a WordPress one.

    2) Did you upgrade your installation recently? Did that plugin *ever* work before? if so, what did you do just prior to this loading issue?

I’ll see if there’s contact info, but it could prove interesting as my German is limited, and I can only hope his English is much better then my German!

That plug-in worked with several previous versions of WP with out problems, as well as the version of WP I am running now up until a week and a half or so ago. I believe I updated to the version I have now shortly after it was released, so it’s been a little while.

up until a week and a half or so ago.

If it was working before, I would say that you did something about a week and a half ago, and it affected the plugin. If it works, things don’t just “suddenly” happen for no reason. If you were editing files or anything about a week and a half ago, try to remember what you were editing. If you don’t remember doing anything, it’s possible your host upgraded something, or did something on the server (although why it would affect a single plugin, I don’t know). But *something* triggered it – it doesn’t just happen out of the blue for no reason.

That was my thoughts too… because I hadn’t edited anything in the frame when the problem occurred.

And it does seem very odd that it only affected one thing, and that the host didn’t notify any changes, as they usually do.
