  • maybe waht you want is to make a blog, and keep the music, or the weekly updates, in another category excluded from the main page and main feed. If thats it take a look at this:

hmmm…i don’t think I need that. I guess I just need to set up a different category. So, I will have “music” and “blog” as categories. Music will be the default. Blog will be the other category. How do I make it so none of the “blog” postings fall onto the front page, which is the music category. I think this is probably an easy function that I am overlooking. Anyone?

    that’s what im saying!!

set up music, and blog as different categories, then exclude the blog category from the main page using the code i pinted out for you…

Blog postings will still be availabe when viewing the blog category but they wont appear on your front page and main feed (the feed for the blog category will still be available)

    Please read..

ok. so, then will this also exlude the music posts from the blog posts? they need to be 2 completely seperate blogs. thanks for the help.

yes, when you’re on your home page you will see everything but your blog posts…

and when your viewng the blog category, you will only see the posts under blog category.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘>’ in /home/steveswo/public_html/thepolishambassador/wp-content/themes/default/index.php on line 12

anybody? I’ve tried a variety of things.

It means you’ve done a PHP error in modifying the theme. Post the contents of line 12 of /wp-content/themes/default/index.php for us to look at.
