    Hello,

I recently switched to a self hosted site, and I thought that if I migrated my followers from my wordpress.com site to my jetpack self hosted site that they would still receive my new blog posts in their reader– even though I’m no longer on wordpress.com

I am a follower to my new self hosted site, and did not get the new post in my reader.

Are my old wordpress.com followers (which were properly migrated to my jetpack site) supposed to see my new blog posts in their reader, and if yes – why wasn’t my post visible in the reader?

The site I need help with is:

    Thanks in advance.

Only posts from WordPress.com blogs appear in the WordPress.com Reader in real-time. Posts from standard RSS feeds (including those of former WordPress.com blogs which have migrated to www.remarpro.com blogs) are only checked periodically throughout the day. Despite this, posts will still appear in the WordPress.com Reader stream in their proper time location.

So, to simplify, if you make a post on a WordPress.com blog right now, it will appear in the WordPress.com Reader right now. If you make a post on a www.remarpro.com blog right now, it might take 6 hours for it to appear in the WordPress.com Reader, and at that time you would need to scroll back to posts from 6 hours ago to view your post.

    Thanks for your response!

I also learned that my subscription settings were incorrect. Now that they’ve been updated I think my problem was resolved.

    You’re welcome!

    Hi there,

I am having the exact same problem, though even after days my posts don’t appear on my followers reader. I have migrated all my followers with jetpack and have made my wordpress.com private. Do I need to do something so my followers can still see my posts on their reader?

    Thank you in advance.
