blog not showing up in google searches

My blog has been live for a week now, and I tried yesterday and today to hit it via google, and no luck. Even when I went to an advanced search where I specified my domain to search and asked it to find a word I know is there, it said there were no results.

I do have this checked off in privacy settings: “I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers.”

The blog I’m talking about is this one:

Anyone have any ideas? I have stat counter on my blog, and I haven’t seen a google bot come by. Also, I have another blog that hasn’t gotten hit by a google search for quite a while whereas before it got hit regularly. I can hit it with google, but before certain searches had this blog up pretty high in results, and now they are buried. This change has happened within the last month. Has google changed its policy via wordpress or something? I’m confused.
