Blog not pulling info from database

  • My blog at ramblingspoon.com/blog quit displaying posts, etc, last week. Nothing had been changed/moved/updated, it just quit showing stuff. Pages load as far as text/css, then nothing.
    Since then I reloaded WP two or three times, then updated WP to 3.2.1, and reloaded a clean version of the theme (Atahualpa 3.6.4). Same problem.
    Database checks say they are fine, and I can see all post and page information through the WP Dashboard, just can’t load actual pages.
    I’m thoroughly baffled. Any thoughts?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi there esmi, thanks for the input.
    I had already tried deactivating the plugins, but that didn’t work.
    Switching themes allowed the site to load, so I thought it was likely a problem with Atahualpa.
    Reloaded a fresh download of that, but still had the same problem.
    Had to do fresh re-installs of both WP and Atahualpa from new downloads for it to work.
    I have no idea what happened, but it certainly was time consuming to fix.
    Now trying to figure out why it does not display spaces after commas in posts and pages.
