Blog not inheriting group permissions

Hi-
I am running the latest Buddypress and WordPress (with plugins deactivated). I would like private/hidden groups to be able to create private/hidden blogs by default – but when I create from a private/hidden group, and log out and go to the blog link, the blog is still visible.
Any thoughts?
